The Sub-Branch owns three holiday units for the respite of our members. These fully furnished two-bedroom units are maintained by the Sub-Branch.

Active members of the Sub-Branch (those who have attended four monthly meetings in the past 12 months) may reserve the units for their immediate family’s use on a first-come-first-served basis throughout the year except for the Christmas holiday period. Weekly bookings are made by contacting the Sub-Branch Treasurer. Each member booking a unit is asked to provide a $150 contribution to maintain the unit.

All members are required to supply their own linens and pillows while staying in the Sub-Branch units. Each member who uses the units is expected to leave the unit in the condition in which it was found.

Due to the popularity of the units throughout the Christmas holiday season, the Sub-Branch holds a draw to determine which members will be able to use the units. In May of each year, members provide the executive with their preferences for dates and locations for the Christmas season. The executive performs the draw and announces the draw results at the next monthly meeting. Members may obtain a preference nomination form from the executive.

The three units are located in Manly, The Entrance, and Thirroul. Each are within easy walking distance of restaurants, clubs, pubs and the beach.

The Manly unit is located at the corner of Pacific and Collingwood Streets, three blocks off the beach at North Steyne.

The unit at The Entrance is located on the corner of Ocean Parade and Francis Street, two blocks from The Entrance Lifesaving Club.

The Thirroul unit is located at the corner of Bath Street and Cliff Parade across the street from the Thirroul swimming pool and the beach.
